FAQs
I love your website. What's the first step in booking you to shoot my wedding?
First of all, congratulations on your engagement!! It's an exciting time and I'd be honored to shoot your wedding! The first step is to email me. ([email protected]) Please include your date (if you don't have an exact one yet, a tentative date will work too) and I will let you know if I am available. If I am, I will send you an email containing my packages and prices! Also, if you know where you are getting married or where you would like to get married, I'd love to know this too! If you're booking your wedding in Savannah but you are not so familiar with the area, I'm definitely available to chat and give you my opinion on some lovely venues around town!
How do I ensure that I have booked you for my wedding date?
Make sure that you have filled out your wedding info and signed the contract as well as sent a retainer for half the total amount for your wedding photography package. This will guarantee photography by me on your date!
Do you travel?
I am based in Savannah, Georgia however, I LOVE to travel. If you are planning a wedding that is within 2 hrs of Savannah, Georgia, there is no additional travel fee. If you're planning a destination wedding outside of those three states, count me in! We may even be able to work out a deal if its to somewhere on my bucket list!!
What should we wear to our portrait/engagement session?
Whatever you feel comfortable in! My philosophy is, the more comfortable you feel, the better the photos will come out! I want everyone to have fun during their shoot and you can't have quite as much fun if you're worrying that your skirt is too see through or your shirt too tight. Wear something that you've worn before and nothing too crazy that will date the photos. Try to stay away from being too matchy-matchy or anything that is too bright (neon) or shirts with thin stripes. You're more than welcome to change your clothes during the shoot. I think that one dressier outfit and then another that is more casual works best for shoots. Please check out my pinterest page for some outfit inspiration.
Is it ok if we bring props?
That's completely up to you! If you have something that you want to infuse into your shoot, you are more than welcome to bring it. I know that there are lots of photos where people bring blankets, set up a picnic, float on a boat, etc. If you have the items and wish to use them in your shoot, let's do it!
What type of camera do you use?
I use all professional Canon equipment (5d Mark III, ex-600 flash, and lots of canon lenses)
Do you have back up equipment?
Of course! I always have a back up 5d Mark III camera, back up lenses, back up memory cards and plenty of batteries to capture all your awesome dance moves! Hopefully there will be no need for them, but I have them on hand just in case.
Can I post my pictures to social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc)?
Definitely! You're more than welcome to share your photos however you choose! All I ask is for a little credit for taking the photo(s)! I always love little shout outs for my work ;)
Will all the images be edited/completed?
Of course!! All of the images will be culled (fancy way to say that I will look through the photos and take out all the not so flattering ones) and then color corrected as well as cropped and edited.
Will I have rights to the photos? Am I able to print them?
Well, yes and no. You will receive a print release document with your images. You will be able to download the photos straight off your online gallery sent to you via email. You will be able to print, and share your photos however you want! The photos are now yours. However, I retain the copyright for the images. These are photos that I will use to support my business in the future. If you have any questions about this, please let me know. Also, if you'd like to see your wedding photos published, please let me know as well!! I love to share my work with other bloggers and see my work in print! If you choose to share anywhere online, please consider giving credit to Marianne Lucille Photography.
How do you back-up your photos?
After every wedding, I put all the unedited images on to my computer and then immediately upload them to my external hard drive. All photos taken my Marianne Lucille Photography will be uploaded up on the online gallery for only one year. After this, I can not guarantee that how much longer the online gallery will be accessible. You are more than welcome to share the online gallery with your friends and family to look through. You can make favorite lists and even get prints made if you so choose. Please be sure to back them up on your own hard drive.
